I walked the entire length of the Garden City Terminal and back randomly taking photos with Leica’s new monochrome camera, the M11 M. This is the largest single container terminal in North America. I started and finished under the new gantry cranes I have been photographing for the past several months. The construction of the berth where the new cranes are located is almost finished with several photos showing the work being completed and equipment being moved. Most of my walk up the terminal was during lunch time and on my return the start of operations in the afternoon. While usually all the berths are full, two berths were empty with work being done on some cranes and a group training on using some of the other cranes.
